Cal State Monterey Bay fields thirteen men's and women's intercollegiate sports including men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, baseball, softball, women's volleyball, women's water polo and coed sailing.

The Otters are proud members of NCAA Division II, competing in the California Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) and Western Water Polo Association (WWPA).

Intramurals

Remember all those sports you used to play for FUN? The Intramural Sports Program in Student Activities & Leadership Development has just what you need. From bowling to flag football to basketball, you are sure to find an activity that suits you. All leagues and tournaments are open current CSUMB students, Alumni, and Faculty/Staff. Intramurals offers something fun for everyone year round so get involved today!  This is a great way to meet new people.  Don't have a team?... Sign up as a free agent and you will be put on a team.

Recreation

Just because you don't have a car and live on campus doesn't mean you can't get your daily workout. Those looking to cool off can head over to the Aquatic Center then lift some weights or run on a treadmill at the Otter Sports Center.
